Q. How does Gear Code organize my data?
A. Within Gear Code, Project Owners create Projects. Within each project, users create and manage their endpoints and related data via records called “Tags”.
Q. How are Tags created?
A. Users can create tags in their project 3 different ways: manually, bar code scanning, or via csv import.
Q. Do I have to have a bar code system to use Gear Code?
A. No. Bar coding cabling can enable greater efficiencies when entering data or searching for data but bar coding is not required to realize the benefits of the Gear Code application.

Q. Does Gear Code work for multiple users?
A. Yes. Users can grant access to Projects to other users to enable collaboration and sharing of information.
Q. Does Gear Code have a Web app or do I have to use the mobile app?
A. Yes, Gear Code does have a Web app along with the mobile app. However, new users must sign-up via the mobile app. Once a user account has been created, the Web app can be accessed via the following URL: https://prod.gearcode.app/GearCodeWeb/
Q. Do I have to pay for each user in Gear Code?
A. No. Customers can have as many users as they want in Gear Code.
Q. What type of users exist in Gear Code?
A. There are two types of users in Gear Code:

Project Owner - This user is responsible for creating projects and managing the billing/subscription for the account.

Project Contributor - This user can view and update Tag data within a project but can not create or update projects.
Q. How does the subscription work?
A. Gear Code offers multiple subscription tiers with different features and pricing based on the number of endpoints (aka “Tags”) being purchased. All subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

A. Pricing for Gear Code is based on the # of endpoints (aka “Tags”) being purchased. Refer to the Pricing page for details.

Q. Can I try Gear Code before I subscribe?
A. Gear Code offers a free plan by using the mobile app without an account. In this mode, all data is stored locally on the device. No backup or project sharing features are available.

Q. How do I cancel my subscription?
A. You can cancel your subscription anytime before the renewal date to avoid future charges. No refunds will be issued for cancellations.

Q. What happens if I don’t cancel before my renewal date?
A. If you do not cancel before your renewal date, your subscription will automatically renew, and you will be charged for the next billing cycle.

Q. Does Gear Code offer refunds?
Q. No, Gear Code does not issue refunds for canceled subscriptions.

Q. Can I share my Gear Code account with others?
A. No, account sharing is prohibited. Each subscription is intended for individual or business use and should not be shared with unauthorized users.
